Ashirwada: A Journey of Unity and Understanding
The Rotaract Club of APIIT executed its first project, Ashirwada, for the RI years 2024/25 under the avenue of Club Service, with the aim of promoting cultural diversity and fostering understanding and respect for the different faith practiced in Sri Lanka. The project included visiting four places of worship in Colombo - the Holy Rosary Infant Jesus Church, Mayurapathi Bhaddrakali Amman Kovil, Dewatagaha Mosque and the Gangarama Viharaya.
Through this heartwarming initiative, our members gained invaluable insights into different faiths, participated in various religious rituals and activities, and forged bonds with people from diverse backgrounds. Even in its third consecutive year, Ashirwada proved to be a meaningful experience that strengthened the club’s commitment to serving the community and promoting tolerance.
