Being part of Rotaract has been a transformative journey that shaped me into a more compassionate, confident, and service-driven individual. As President, I am committed to continuing this journey thriving with purpose, inspiring change, and serving society with dedication. Rotaract has become my passion, and service is my greatest joy.

I’ve been part of the Rotaract movement for the past three years, beginning as a general member, then serving as the Director of Professional Development, and now as the Joint Secretary of the Rotaract Club of APIIT. Rotaract has shaped me into a more confident, responsible, and team-oriented individual. It has given me the platform to grow as a leader while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Hey! I’m Rtr. Shalindri Sathiyanathan. My Rotaract journey started super randomly last year when our IPP casually asked, “Any idea of applying to the next committee?” at a time when I wasn’t even that active. I just said “Yes!” without thinking much, and honestly, that one word has brought me a long way. From serving the community and leading teams to building some amazing connections, Rotaract has been such a meaningful ride. And now, I’m here as the Secretary, continuing a journey that’s not just about what I can give, but everything I get to learn along the way.

"I’m Bovinya Perera, a 3rd year Software Engineering student and one of the Vice Presidents of our Club. Over three years in Rotaract, I’ve taken part in amazing projects, travelled, and met incredible people. This journey gave me valuable experiences, shaped my leadership and teamwork skills, and taught me how to handle different situations. Most importantly, I built friendships that have become some of the most important relationships in my life, making this journey truly meaningful.

I'm AbdulRahman Muneer. I joined Rotaract to give back to the community, grow as a person, and be part of something meaningful. It's also been a great way to socialize, meet new people from different walks of life, and build strong friendships while working together for a greater cause.

Hey, I’m Aabid Isthihar! Being part of Rotaract has honestly been one of the best experiences—it’s helped me step out of my comfort zone, meet amazing people, and take on fun yet challenging responsibilities. From planning events to working on community projects, I’ve learned a lot and grown along the way. Rotaract has definitely played a big role in my uni life and shaping who I am today.

I'm someone who loves to help and enjoys taking responsibility, if it means I'm doing good for someone. And through Rotaract I'm able to achieve that. Helping people is where I am the happiest, especially my committee. I’m Nehaa Shruthi Senthilnathan, the Assistant Secretary of the Rotaract Club of APIIT. Being part of Rotaract has helped me grow both personally and professionally by enhancing my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. It has given me the opportunity to collaborate with inspiring individuals, take on new challenges, and gain valuable experiences that continue to shape my confidence and perspective.

I am a driven and community-focused individual passionate about personal growth and meaningful impact. Being part of Rotaract has greatly shaped my perspective, teaching me leadership, teamwork, and empathy through service. It has provided a platform to connect with like-minded individuals, develop essential life skills, and contribute to causes greater than myself. My name is Saeed Shiyam, and I’ve recently begun my journey with Rotaract as the Assistant Treasurer at APIIT. Although I’m new to the role, being part of Rotaract has already provided me with invaluable real-life experience beyond what books and lectures can teach. One of the most eye-opening lessons so far has been understanding how easily things can go wrong in a work environment — whether due to miscommunication, oversight, or pressure — and more importantly, how to remain calm, take responsibility, and find solutions. It’s taught me that leadership isn’t about avoiding mistakes but learning how to handle them with accountability and professionalism.

I’m Manojram, currently serving as the Assistant Treasurer and Director of Regional Engagement for the Rotaract year 2025-26. Being part of Rotaract has been a transformative journey. It helped me become more social, build meaningful connections, and step out of my comfort zone. Through various experiences, I’ve overcome both personal and professional challenges, allowing me to grow as an individual. Most importantly, Rotaract has inspired me to give back to others and be part of something bigger than myself.

I’m Kaveen Herath, a Computing undergraduate with a strong passion for creativity, design, and community engagement. My journey with Rotaract began through the PR & Editorial Sub-Committee, where I developed my love for content creation and visual storytelling. Being part of Rotaract has not only helped me develop my skills in graphic design and editing, but it has also taught me the value of teamwork, responsibility, and service. It’s been a platform for personal growth, leadership, and meaningful contribution both within and beyond the campus community.

As the Editor of RAC APIIT, I’ve had the opportunity to refine my communication and creative skills while working with a diverse and passionate team. Being part of Rotaract has helped me grow both personally and professionally enhancing my leadership, collaboration, and time management abilities. It has given me a platform to contribute meaningfully to impactful initiatives while forming lasting friendships and learning the value of service above self.
